Debbie's Story
Life
After living most my life in San Diego and missing going to Kearny High I often wonder how my life might be different. My family moved to Ramona in the summer after 9th grade and graduated from Ramona High. Hated it there!! I did make a lot of new friends, it just took awhile. I married when I was 21, we moved up to our local mountains in Mesa Grande where we raised 2 great kids. I started working at the Wild Animal Park part time in 91. I went to Vet tech school and stayed at the Park until 99. My husband and I divorced after 19 years of marraige. I bought a house in Julian where my kids f...Expand for more
inish going to school. I worked at a small animal hosiptal in Julian for a while, that didn't work out so good. I went back to the Park, then came down to the zoo to work. I moved from Julian to the city to be closer to my job. My ex husband passed away in June 04 in a car accident. My kids are with me and both are in College now. I remarried in Sept. 06 to a great guy who's a Navy Cilivian working with Navy's Marine Mammal Program out of Point Loma. We live in Ocean Beach. My last name is no longer La Chappa it's Harris! That's a very short version of my life of course, much more going on. Debbie
